Background This parkland setting provides space for locals to walk and play, and exercise their dogs. Pilrig Park has hard paths, two safe play areas at opposite ends, and also a football pitch.
History and heritage The park was once part of the grounds of Pilrig House, which was built in 1638. It came into city ownership in 1920.
