Background The walk along the shoreline provides views across the Forth to the Fife coast,and on the distance, North Berwick Law can be seen. A walkway links the foreshore to Cramond Island at low tide. The path along the shore is fringed with sycamores, hawthorn, elder and ash trees.
History and heritage As one of Edinburgh's oldest villages, Cramond has the distinction of having the longest known period of human settlement.
